Atari Best Electronics |
At first glance, the "Atari Best Electronics" website is poorly designed. My first thought when I saw the site was "should I have even clicked this link?" the site made me think that it is unsafe and I should probably leave right away.
There is a lot of work that needs to be done on this website especially since they are selling a product. Their site looks unprofessionally done and for many, that would be an indicator that their service will also be the same and steer away. The site needs a better concept, proper alignment, an easier way to navigate, and a better hierarchy. Making improvements on sections I stated above will make the site way better and easier to read in the eyes. Making simple alignments such as adding margins to the page, adding a proper header, and better font choice will drastically improve the site. This will make it easier for the visitors to read and not steer them away from the site right away and actually give the site a chance.

This car part store online looks old and unprofessionally done. The person who designed it had a concept in mind but needs to be redone. The contrasts on the page are clashing, the repetitive use of the car image on their navigation tab makes it hard to see what the text is especially that it is in red. The fonts need work and so does the color choice. The addition of the navigation bar is great but it is way too long for a visitor to choose which makes them scroll instead of just being able to click it right away. An improvement from the navigation bar is to have a click to collapse feature instead of listing them out making it look full and long. The use of imagery could also be lessened unless it is talking about the actual part of the car. The page itself has too much going on and it needs to be divided into a couple of pages so that the homepage does not seem cluttered.

Apple |
Out of all the websites provided Apple for me has the best one. The way everything has its own section, the contrasts and images used are well done. The homepage is not cluttered and is divided up nicely. the fonts used and its color matches what it is affiliated with. Visitors would be at ease if they clicked on this site to purchase a product and to freely surf in it. This is an example of a professionally done site. Given that Apple is a big brand it is one of the top industries in electronics and software development which this site perfectly aligns with what their service is like.

Toyota's website is very appealing to the eyes. It is easy for the visitors to navigate and look for the car/service that they want. Everything is properly aligned and has a good hierarchy. The fonts used in the site are formal and professionally done. The color choice goes with what the brand's colors are. The proximity on each area that is connected to each other is well placed and very easy to read. Toyota has been around for a long time and their brand is known as being one of the best in the car industry this site meshes well with what they are and their service. The site is professionally done which caters to its customers while also fulfilling their site's needs.
Overall, the websites that I have looked at has taught me how the site is just as important as what your brand is. I can't even imagine seeing apple as being a top seller in electronics with an "Atari Best Electronics" kind of a site. I learned that if you want visitors to respect and be interested in your brand you have to have a professionally done website. It is hard to make a website but everything takes time and patience in order for something to bear fruit. Having time and learning how to improve on their shows and will make us better.
