Week 16 Part B: Building Out Your Strategy

In this week's blog, I will be talking about my rough draft content for next month's postings on all my social media.  When it comes to strategizing, I first think of what are my goals for next month? then how am I going to make that happen and why is it important to make the plan work? And lastly, who am I making my postings for. As for next month's goal, Christmas had just finished which means that parents are not really looking forward to going shopping since they just did a whole lot of shopping for their loved ones. As for the young ones, some parents don't have the time to go shopping or they don't know what their kids want for Christmas so they'll just end up giving them the good old "Christmas cha-ching!" My business can benefit from that since no parent would get this kind of shoe that I market to their kids unless their kids ask for it. This takes care of who my target audience is which are the young adults with their Christmas mone...

Week 15 Part B: What we Learn from FaceBook Analytics

In this week's blog, we will be learning about Facebook Analytics! My page does not have enough people following my page I will be using our professor's Brewery business data report.

There are two data provided by the professor; when covid began and her most recent data from this year. We will be taking a look at the differences between the two data through engagements, actions on page, views, likes, post reach through FaceBook.

When covid hit, a lot of businesses temporarily closed down especially the in-person businesses, and the professor's business is one of them. During this time I am predicting that people do not have much to do at home so they'll be spending their free time surfing the web. From the data provided during Covid, it seems like post engagements have drastically shot up by 83%. With most breweries closed, people are looking for places that they can go to so I predicted that if the professor's business was open which it was people are likely to engage in their postings. However, Likes and Reach was down by not a significant amount this may be due to the fact that people are scared of going out still so not a lot of people have been engaging other than customers that had been at the business.

Now that most of our stores and businesses are open, and vaccines had been provided for the masses it will be interesting to see what the data is now. Post reach has jumped up by 28% meaning that a lot more people are willing to go out, Post engagements have also jumped up by 34% not as much as when covid had just started which is normal due to businesses now having a solid time schedule and not closing as frequently than before. Page likes are down, it might be the contents that introduce new drinks/products to customers are hurting it because the likes in posts that talk about events happening within the brewery such as bands and music are significantly higher and it also draws in more post engagements.

The data gathered by Facebook for the most part is helpful and brings into light what content brings in engagements. It is interesting to see for sure how much change happens within the year especially with covid still around. This does not only show how your page is doing but it also shows the behavior of your customers. By knowing your customer's behavior your business will be able to adjust and cater to them.
