Week 16 Part B: Building Out Your Strategy

In this week's blog, I will be talking about my rough draft content for next month's postings on all my social media.  When it comes to strategizing, I first think of what are my goals for next month? then how am I going to make that happen and why is it important to make the plan work? And lastly, who am I making my postings for. As for next month's goal, Christmas had just finished which means that parents are not really looking forward to going shopping since they just did a whole lot of shopping for their loved ones. As for the young ones, some parents don't have the time to go shopping or they don't know what their kids want for Christmas so they'll just end up giving them the good old "Christmas cha-ching!" My business can benefit from that since no parent would get this kind of shoe that I market to their kids unless their kids ask for it. This takes care of who my target audience is which are the young adults with their Christmas mone...

Week 16 Part A: Developing Your Marketing Strategy

We have talked about countless tools on our blogs that we can use for our chosen businesses. In this blog, we will be talking about which one of those tools is best to integrate into my fictitious business.

So far the tools I have used for my shoe business are Shopify, Mail Chimp, Instagram, Facebook, and Google Analytics. Other tools that I have discussed are Linkedin, Twitter, YouTube TikTok, Sprouts Social, Yelp, and more rating services.

Out of all the tools I have come across on our journey in this class, The new tools that I have found beneficial for my online business are Twitter, YouTube, Yelp, Google Reviews, and a Social Media Management Tool such as Sprouts Social. Most of the tools I have learned are beneficial to my business for the most part. But the most important part of having an online business is having a review service. For me, if an online business does not appear on any review sites is a scam and sketchy. Having a crowd service review is a must for an online business hence why I would use Yelp in my marketing strategy.

Twitter and YouTube are both social media platforms that I would also use for my business. The reason being is for credibility. Having a lot of social media sites for a business seems professional rather than just having two out of all the major social media. I can use Twitter like how I post on Instagram and FaceBook while for YouTube I can post videos of shoes that are most coveted that are coming.

Lastly Sprouts Social. With four accounts needing to have daily, weekly, monthly, yearly postings it will be hard to keep up with just a single person. Having to go through each social media and replying to customer needs is a lot of work and as for my business, I am the only one running it so time is key. With this, it will save me a lot of time and money being able to manage all of my social media in one place. On top of that having this service is fairly priced and would not hurt my wallet for the tools it provides.

During my postings on social media, I found out which ones are the most effective ones that gather a lot of interest which is posting shoe releases ahead of time. With the use of hashtags, A lot more audiences get to see my post if they are into a particular genre. I have posted a shoe that is related to an anime called "Mobile Suit Gundam Wing" which is an 80's action robotic show. With the use of hashtags, not only was I able to reach people that are looking forward to the shoes but also users that are interested in the Gundam franchise itself (pretty cool!). I find posting this kind to be most effective when it comes to building my face on social media.

For my business, I need to spend a to of time on social media since I actually do not have a store that people can physically go to. My social media should provide that same essence in order for my business to be a success and create brand loyalty within my customers and future ones!
