Week 16 Part B: Building Out Your Strategy

Image
In this week's blog, I will be talking about my rough draft content for next month's postings on all my social media.  When it comes to strategizing, I first think of what are my goals for next month? then how am I going to make that happen and why is it important to make the plan work? And lastly, who am I making my postings for. As for next month's goal, Christmas had just finished which means that parents are not really looking forward to going shopping since they just did a whole lot of shopping for their loved ones. As for the young ones, some parents don't have the time to go shopping or they don't know what their kids want for Christmas so they'll just end up giving them the good old "Christmas cha-ching!" My business can benefit from that since no parent would get this kind of shoe that I market to their kids unless their kids ask for it. This takes care of who my target audience is which are the young adults with their Christmas mone...

Week 10 Part A: Researching Email Marketing

Image
I n this week's blog, I will be discussing possibly adding a newsletter feature on my fictitious business. A newsletter is a printed or electronic report containing news concerning the activities of a business or an organization that is sent to its members, customers, employees, or other subscribers. Having a newsletter in your store would be an additional way of getting customers back to your site. In my store, adding one would be a great tool since shoes are fairly expensive to buy which in general customers only buy a pair or two at a time when shopping. Having this will bring them an incentive to come back to the store if sent a newsletter by offering them a discount on their next purchase, let them know first about an upcoming shoe release, or just emailing them saying we miss them and come shop again with us to show that we care for our customers and are loyal to them. In my store, I would need to send at least two a week with just updates on what is about to release o...

Week 9 Part B: Using Categories

Image
In this week's blog, I will explain the different kinds of categories that I use to stay organized and reach my target audience. In the shoe world, people have different tastes when it comes to shoes. I am more biased on Nike shoes and Jordan shoes since those are the brands I like. Although I might post other brands of shoes that have a lot of people talking about for interaction purposes. Some would like other brands such as Adidas, Puma, New Balance, and many more so I will try to include them in my postings to widen my followers and also get them interested in brands I have as a whole. The categories that I will be using for the brands that I post often are different shoe types. What season do they release in? What kind of shoe is it? lows, mids, or highs? What brand is ...

Week 9 Part A: Blogs, Vlogs, Podcasts & Webinars

In the world of being a sneaker head nothing hurts more than going into SNKRS app finding a pair you have been waiting months for, and not being able to get that pair on the drawings. The easiest way to appeal to my target audience is to "manipulate" their emotions after losing so much like I have in the past. I know that when a shoe comes out with so much hype behind it, the shoe sells out before you are even be able to put it in the cart if you're not fast enough.  In my postings, whenever I would include shoes that are about to come out I post with a friendly tone like while also interacting with my followers. Moments later I would post asking if they were able to get a pair and maybe a fun fact behind it showing how fast or how many sold in that day nationwide. Facts and interactivity is what I am shooting for in my instagram page. I feel like by posting this way I can get a lot of interactions on my page and bosst my store by also periodically posting about my busi...

Week 8 Part B: Your Instagram Hashtag Use

Image
In this week's blog, I will be talking about how my posts did during this week with hashtags included.  I chose not to repost the same content on my Facebook page. I decided to have my Instagram page as a platform to interact with my customers while using Facebook as a news/updates platform and more professional.  During this week's postings, I used hashtags that relate to what my subject is. I narrowed my hashtags use based on its category, product, brand, name, type, and season. By doing this I am reaching more people that are looking into those areas. I did not want to overdo my hashtag use to make my post seem like it's asking for too much attention.  The hashtags that I used on my posts are specific to my business since it does correlate to what my products fall in. As for the time, I don't think there is a specific time that works for my postings yet. All the traffic that I am getting is still from my followers and none from the outside. I wish that Instagram...

Week 8 Part A: How to Expand Your Reach on Instagram by Using Hashtags

Image
I n this week's blog, I will be researching how to expand my reach on Instagram by using hashtags. To do this research, I will be looking at different sizes of stores that match mine on Instagram. For this research, I have chosen Swoosh.Resell a small business that is local here in San Diego, ShoePalace a large shoe store chain, and Shiekh that is a small shoe/clothing store chain. For my business visual media is huge. Shoes that retail for $120 can be resold for 3 times to 10 times the actual worth! If you want an example, search Airmax 97, Sean Wotherspoon. This shoe is retailed for $160 but after it sold out it is now going for $1500 - 1800 depending on your size! For something this pricey, you need to have great photos of the shoes you are selling to show what condition they are in.  In my research, @swoosh.resell made his business through Instagram. He does not have any other page or a store other than the one he has on Instagram. If you visit his page, it does not only...

Week 7 Part B: How Other Class Members Businesses Use Instagram

In this week's blog, I have looked through my fellow classmate's Instagram accounts of their stores to see how they are using the platform. We all have different businesses so it was interesting to see what everyone has done and what techniques they used to implement it on to my own page.  I first looked into Fintal Recruitment's page, They have a couple of posts where they promote their company and how being with them would benefit anyone. The strategy that they are using on this platform is the same as what they are doing on their Facebook page. The use of the hashtag is good since many more who are interested in this field will be able to see this page. The next page that I looked through is PCCorpRepair's page. On this page, for now, It seems like they are just using this platform to boost their Facebook page. Their first post is about their Facebook page and how you can follow them there. You can also see on their bio that they have the link for it as well. They h...

Week 6 Part B: Creating and Scheduling FaceBook Posts

Image
In this week's blog content, I have plotted and scheduled out some content for my Facebook page and visited fellow classmate's pages to check out their content as well! I made a couple of reminders about upcoming shoes that are releasing tomorrow at 7 am and included pictures for attention. By doing this, I am able to interact with people who are looking forward to this shoe and possible people who may become interested in it. I also included hashtags in my post to boost views and engagements from other people who are interested in this kind of shoes. The other posts I have made are to remind them once the shoes are finally able to be purchased and a questionnaire after 30 minutes passed asking if they were able to purchase the shoes. These shoes are known for always selling out after 10 minutes so this boosts engagements with people that are happy they got them and sad/ mad they weren't lucky to get the shoes. This is my upcoming post schedule. Pages I've visited and ...
