Week 16 Part B: Building Out Your Strategy

Image
In this week's blog, I will be talking about my rough draft content for next month's postings on all my social media.  When it comes to strategizing, I first think of what are my goals for next month? then how am I going to make that happen and why is it important to make the plan work? And lastly, who am I making my postings for. As for next month's goal, Christmas had just finished which means that parents are not really looking forward to going shopping since they just did a whole lot of shopping for their loved ones. As for the young ones, some parents don't have the time to go shopping or they don't know what their kids want for Christmas so they'll just end up giving them the good old "Christmas cha-ching!" My business can benefit from that since no parent would get this kind of shoe that I market to their kids unless their kids ask for it. This takes care of who my target audience is which are the young adults with their Christmas mone...

Week 14: Social Media Management Tools

Image
Do you own a lot of social media? Tired of having to post on each and every single one of your accounts? Well, I got the tool for you! Introducing Social Media Management Tools! In this week's blog, I will be talking about what social media management tool does and what are the best products to use for your accounts! First, what is Social media management software (SMMS)? It is a suite of tools designed for managing and analyzing online social interactions. SMMS products typically provide a single dashboard that provides engagement metrics for multiple social media accounts. This is helpful for companies that need to manage their brand presence on different platforms. It is also helpful for agencies that manage social profiles for multiple clients. Being able to schedule ahead of time with all of your social media accounts in under one software is a great tool to have. How do you know which SMMS to use? When it comes to this, it is just a matter of how much you want to spend on a m...

Week 13 Part A: Online Advertising - Analysis of the Marketplace

Image
As much as we hate ads, they're here to stay. In this week's blog, I will analyze what kinds of ads I am getting while surfing through Instagram and Facebook's feed.  While surfing through my Instagram feed I started a 5-minute timer to see how many ads it will show me casually scrolling on the app.  20 ads in total were placed on my feed. Out of all these ads, only a couple stood out to me. It was Nintendo itself and a car commercial from Acura, I saw Nintendo posted 3 different ads promoting their actual console and videogames that are for sale or releasing in the future.  I have a Switch console from Nintendo but have not even used it for a long time nor have I browsing the internet about them. Is it just out of coincidence that Instagram gave me more of their ads or it was specifically chosen for me?  For the Acura commercial, I rarely see car commercials on my feed. During this week though, I was looking for information about their upcoming ...

Week 12 Part B: Business Specific Tools

Throughout my readings, I saw that most already know what tools would benefit their business and how to use them. Some tools though, such as TikTok needs a "person" behind the camera so folks that see the post see and remember who this person is and what they do. It can be hard to step out of your comfort zone and try to take on the task of using this platform to boost your business.  Most of the tools mentioned in the posts are similar to mine. With rating tools such as Yelp being the most common tool to have for each business. I also saw that some tools are not beneficial or of use to them as well due to the nature of their business. There is a saying that "any publicity is good publicity" May it just be an ad for your business on a platform you don't really use, just do it. It's free and can maybe even pull in more customers than you think it would. Posts I've Commented On: Kate Strong Regina Tompkins Terrel Mitchell

Week 12 Part A: Using Business Specific Online Tools

Image
I have talked about quite a few online tools to use for my business such as LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. Today I am going to research specific online tools to further my business. In this day of age, There was a social media this year that has been talked about by everyone even by the President! If you're thinking about TikTok you guessed right! TikTok has gained a lot of popularity just with this year alone.  Some users gain popularity overnight through the use of  TikTok. Like before, I was talking about how each social media platform has its "age group" with Facebook and Twitter being one of the most used platforms by adults TikTok on the other hand is mainly used by young audiences. This is a great platform for me to advertise my business since most of my target audiences are young adults. Now, gaining popularity overnight is a hard feat to do. An easy way to promote my business is to partner with different social influencers who already have a big fan...

Week 11 Part B: Marketing with other social media

Image
Blogs I commented on: Lynnette Takasugi, Yoshinori Enomoto, and James Anear. Similarities I have found in the postings are not fully grasping what LinkedIn can do. I too have no experience in using LinkedIn and just did a quick research about what it does. I feel like we are underestimating what the platform can do because that's how I was when it came to using Facebook as a teen. Facebook now has countless services that it offers and a lot of people my age frown upon using Facebook. I think the same thing can be said about LinkedIn and it just needs to be given a chance to see what its full capabilities are. The post that I read this time around has different businesses. It was interesting how they talked about how to use each platform for their own gains.

Week 11 Part A: Marketing with Twitter, LinkedIn, and more

Image
Businesses nowadays have accounts on each social platform that customers use daily. May it be Facebook, Youtube, Instagram, and even Twitter. Now all of those social media are mainly for consumers to interact with businesses so what about a platform that would help the business itself when it comes to getting tips and help from experienced people? Well, LinkedIn is perfect for that. I have a Twitter account but I barely use it. For me entertainment-wise I would use Instagram and Tiktok. But Twitter, I see it more as a news update feed or rants of some sort. I see it as a platform that is used by people ages 35 and up and for business purposes. However, this does not mean that not a lot of people use this social media. According to the article "The Starter Guide to Twitter Marketing for Beginners" by Clément René, the author stated that "Twitter is one of the most interesting social media platforms to be active on for businesses" with 320m+ monthly active users (MA...
